About Agate Beach
Agate Beach on is on the west shore of Graham Island on Haida Gwaii in Northern BC is part of Naikoon Provincial Park and is the traditional territory of the Haida Nation; the ancestral home of the Gwak'rala'chala people.
There is a campground located on Agate Beach which is a secluded spot, more than 10 miles from the nearest town of Masset. The campground offers 39 sites equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. There are washrooms and potable cold water available as well.
At the northern end of the island is Tow Hill a distinct basalt formation and major landmark of the area. The beach is constantly changing with high tides moving the rocks daily. Beyond that is Rose Spit.

About Haida Gwaii
Consisting of two main islands Graham Island and Moresby Island (or Gwaii Haanas in Haida) plus an additional 150 smaller islands, it is accessible by both ferry and by plane. The main ferry departs from Prince Rupert on the mainland and there is a seasonal ferry off the northern tip of Vancouver Island. There are two airports, one at Sandspit on Moresby Island (south end) and one at Masset at the north end of Graham Island.
